I consider my poems as extensions of my heart. My heart is a proponent of the saying that "you must be cringe in order to be free." It is also eternally in favor of love in all of its forms.

About
Hello! My name is Ivi
pronounced "eye-vee" (like the ivy plant)

I am a firm believer in accessibility in creative writing education, the fact that every poem is a love poem, and the power of friendship. In 2022, I co-founded Young Poets Workshops, a creative writing community focused on providing all passionate young poets a place to thrive. I also serve as co-director of The SUNHOUSE Mentorship, where we offer 1:1 creative writing mentorship focused on young writers that are low-income and BIPOC.I write mostly poetry. It is mostly explicitly about love. I would talk more about it, but it might be more productive for you to read my work...to see some of my pieces, click the "Publications" button below. You can also read my work (including some very rough early pieces) on Instagram @livia.writes.storiesTo contact me, please email me at [email protected] (feel free to send me fun emails or ask for advice! bonus points for sending me a poem you like or a cute photo of a fish / little animal.)
